Expressions Crafted in Wood!

Land of "AWWS" has a fine line of wooden decorations and gift ideas. All of our products are made out of real wood and crafted by hand, making each one unique. When you purchase one of our products you can feel as if it were made just for you.

Handmade creations -- perfect for Holiday Gift Giving!

A hand turned wooden box is a unique piece of art. Due to grain patterns, color, texture, and age of wood, no two boxes will ever be exactly the same. They can be used as a decoration or can be filled with that special little something.
Many of the boxes will say that they are the same wood type but may look very different. This difference is due to age of wood, where in the tree the wood was cut, where in the state the wood came from, and at what age of decay the wood may be in.
As the seasons and humidity change, a hand turned box may expand and contract a little, which may cause the lid to be a little tighter or looser.  Generally speaking, a loose lid will come off very easily and a suction lid will not fall off if the box is turned upside down.

Our stars and angels are made out of cherry, maple and ash hardwoods. Due to the nature of real wood, the color and grain pattern of each piece will more than likely be a little different than pictured (making each one unique).

All the detailing, whether on the edges or on the faces, is burnt into the wood. Each piece is then  sprayed with a clear poly to accentuate the grain pattern.

Although not pictured, each star or angel comes with a string attached for hanging purposes.

Snow Friends are handcrafted out of real wood (No particle board, plywood, or resins). Each Snow Friend is designed with a personality all their own.

Depending on the Snow Friend purchased, there may be some slight assembly required. The arms are actually real sticks and remove easily. If any arm should break, replacement is as easy as going into your own back yard.

Many of our snow friends come with pieces that can be moved around so you can create your own look and feel if wanted.

Our ornaments are hand made out of maple, cherry, and ash hardwoods. All the detailing, whether on the edges or faces, is burnt into the wood.

Due to the hardness of the wood and the grain patterns, the burning results of each ornament will never be exactly the same making each ornament unique.
